Billy Meador was born in Savannah, GA and raised here in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Moving to Hardeeville in 1965 from Charleston he started a career in home building. Billy is very knowledgeable in the construction and design of homes in this area.
In 1991 Billy started a career in valuation and was licensed in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida as a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser. He built a successful appraisal company with offices in South Carolina and Fort Myers, FL. Billy also was employed by several county tax divisions and retired in 2013 from The Miami/Dade County Property Assessors Office.
After retiring Billy and his wife Dora have returned to their hometown and bought a home in Abbey Glen of New River. They lived at Abbey Glen in 2008 and moved back and bought a condo. Most of the families of Billy and Dora live within 15 miles of Hardeeville.
Billy has several activities he is involved in, The Hardeeville Men’s Breakfast, Hardeeville Masonic Lodge and the Advisory Committee of Abbey Glen HOA. He loves hiking the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and Jack Daniel.
Billy is now proud to be a member of RE/MAX Coastal Realty, serving Beaufort and Jasper Counties.
As a Lowcountry native, Billy witnessed this great transformation from a small-town to the bustling Metropolitan community that is retaining the small-town feel. His knowledge of this region, and his experience of having lived here most of his life gives him enthusiasm and a desire to make his home, your home.
